BIOGRAPHY
Huo Liang is a former professional ballet dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
He graduated from the Ballet Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Affiliated Dance School (2005-2012), where he completed seven years of professional ballet, contemporary dance and character dance training. In 2011, he was invited to compete as a finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) New York Finals.
He was a Soloist with Singapore Ballet (Singapore Dance Theatre) and has over ten years of professional stage experience. During his performing career, he appeared extensively in classical, neoclassical, and contemporary repertoire, performing numerous principal and soloist roles.
Notable stage highlights include Melancholic in The Four Temperaments by George Balanchine; Franz in Coppélia by Janek Schergen; and Mercutio and Paris in Romeo and Juliet by Choo San Goh.
After retiring from the stage, he shifted his focus to classical ballet education and contemporary choreography. His choreographic works—including group pieces, duets, and solo works—have been selected for the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Finals and have achieved strong results in other international competitions.
